Anyone know if TESC accepts the DSST Money and Banking course for their Microeconomics/Macroeconomics requirement in their Associates in Science in Business admin?
They're being lazy and not giving me a full answer.
Thanks guys!

No, it will not meet the Microeconomics or Macroeconomics requirements. You can use the Money & Banking DSST for business or free electives, but you'll need to take the CLEP Microeconomics or CLEP Macroeconomics tests to fulfill the requirement.

In addition to Mrs.B's response, I would also recommend you to take Micro and Macro Econ CLEP exams before taking the Money and Banking DSST exam.

Many recommend Micro and Macro before M&B, but Macro seemed to be more helpful to me when I took the M&B test.

I've already done the DSST Money and Banking course without having taken microecon nor macroecon. All that's required is in IC.
TESC states it's a social science course here:
DANTES
So, it's either a business or social science course. I want to use it as a social science course for my Associates in science in business administration. it's harder than the macroecon course and at a higher level. It also is entirely composed of macroeconomic concepts. If they accept business law for the legal environment in business requirement, it makes complete sense they would accept the money and banking credit for the macroecon requirement.

Based on what I've experienced with TESC's Advising and Registrar (the group that actually assigns the credits once transcripts receive), and looking at the ASBA requirements, you'll be able to use the M&B exam credits as three of the six 'other social science' credits, or as the three gen ed electives needed, or three of the six business elective credits, or down in free electives. There is a specific exam/course option for the Micro/Macro requirement, so they'll expect to see that specific course/test to satisfy it. But if you're certain it should satisfy the requirement and can make what you feel is a valid argument, TESC's Registrar Dept is who you'll need to discuss it with; you asked the question, so I'm just giving the answer I've received when asking if I could substitute courses for requirements that had specific courses in mind.
