There should be no issue with completing PLAs at TESU and transferring them to the schools you mentioned. It shouldn't be necessary to actually be awarded an associate's to do that. If you're serious about doing the PLA route, you would apply to TESU as a degree seeking student (any degree), then do your PLA. No need to fulfill the rest of the requirements for an AAS (or any other degree). There are links in my signature to threads about the PLA process at TESU.

Perfect! I wasn't sure. I guess the reasoning behind getting an associates before the Bachelor's is just for pay increases and the like. As long as I have a place to start to build up credit that'll work for me.

If completion ends up being 5-6 years out, I can see a benefit of getting an AAS/AS from TESU.
