I appreciate that you are arguing in favor of your current school. At the same time, this is a strange way to characterize a CBE program like WGU. I agree that a break for the holidays is nice, although WGU is completely flexible about how you pace yourself and when you take time off. It's not just a little flexible; it's 100% flexible. A student can take a month off or two months off - or five - during the six-month term. Plus you can take breaks between terms. And of course, there are no schedules or deadlines. Clearly these are huge advantages over programs that are not self-paced, so saying that CBE programs have "no breaks" is quite a stretch. There are definitely arguments to be made against WGU, but this is not one of them.
Look, I have 2 CBE degrees. At WGU, the session is 6 months long. You cannot take a break for a month or two or five. You have to make progress and login at least once every 21 days or you're kicked out. There are no specific set breaks in CBE programs. You can take breaks, but you have to remember to login and make some progress every few weeks. I'm seeing lots of people not do this on social media and they freak out because they are on the verge of being kicked out.
