Agreed, sometimes it is easiest and fastest to just start over. If your friend is good with writing assignments, for instance, it's possible to get a degree at UMPI for under $5k total. On the other hand, using the degree at Excelsior could wind up costing thousands more in tuition (for the school itself and alternate credits) & fees.
