Maybe a tad too easy, for general education courses, it won't really matter, but for the Area of Study or Concentration, most of the courses aren't as easy/fast as these - which is what it should be for competency based education, the assessments/assignments really play into "gauging" how the student performs.
American Government is probably the easiest and shortest class - course content wise - at UMPI. It really can easily be read in a few hours. The Final Assessment is a 3 page paper that is REALLY easy to write and doesn't require a ton of research. The professor who teaches the course sends back rough drafts within 2 days. He sent all of my papers back in less than 12 hours. Other classes are not this easy or short. I can tell you that the marketing courses are about 20 times longer and the papers are significantly more difficult as the shortest one is a minimum of 10 pages with several being 15+ as the minimum. They require a ton of research and citations. Financial Management was another class that is long - content wise. Sooooooo much content in that course. The final exam was the most difficult next to Project Risk and Cost Management. This course was also very long and challenging because risk is complicated. Most of us don't have a great deal of experience in risk management.
