Plenty of Compass Point, State Name, University schools out there.  Georgia Southern, Texas Southern, South Alabama, Eastern Michigan, Western Carolina, Eastern Washington, Central Oklahoma… except for SNHU I’d wager almost all of them with this name format are state schools even without the word “state” in the name.

And like I said location matters. Regionally names can make a difference in hiring. I know people who weren't hired because of basketball wars between their schools which is ridiculous. Weird things like this happen.
