I'd like to get all the hard ones out of the way and breeze through WGU material.

You should get your CCNA first before starting WGU as that 1 cert could take 2 months to do. 
The AWS sys ops and AWS Cloud Practitioner you could also do ahead of time.

Certs are free to do at WGU though if you are paying out of pocket and trying to finish ASAP, then it would make sense to try and transfer in the max 90 credits.
