Why pay more? AND, you have to think about the hiring manager. A hiring manager MAY know about schools, and may not. If they do, they will favor the others over NYU. They are known for their IT/CS programs. If the hiring manager WENT to NYU, they may favor NYU (and then again, they may not since NYU is not know for their IT/CS programs). So your chances are much lower with NYU in almost all scenarios.
