Two words "Project Management". What I would suggest is that they do something similar to your path but with "Project Management" as their minor.
They could go the UMPI 'Bachelor of Liberal Studies - Project Management Minor' route, but as I said I would suggest they follow your path and get the BAS. They would have to get at least 12 RA credits to earn the Pierpont AAS BOG; there are plenty of low cost options here and guidance on getting the required graded credits needed (I think a recent post said 1 graded RA credit needed). If they were up to it another option is the 'Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration – Project Management Concentration' at UMPI. There are plans here for going the Business Admin route. Again, as I stated, when it comes to construction management it is all about "Project Management".
Note: It is my understanding that if you go to UMPI for Project Management you do not want to take Sophia's PM course, as the courses at UMPI for PM build off each other.
