I couldn't suspend my disbelief enough to enjoy it past a "wtf are they doing?!" type of enjoyment. If you liked Army of the Dead, you'll like this movie.
EDIT: A little off topic, but if you want a book about a war that's happening "in the future", The Forever War by Joe Haldeman was an excellent read imo.
EDIT2: Actually, I intended to put Old Man's War by John Scalzi, but I mixed up the titles. Both are good books, but The Forever War (1976) is (in my opinion) of its time, and should be read as such. Old Man's War is a more modern scifi book.
