I don't know if I agree with that
because I'm not sure how a privatized system would work
do students have to buy books every year for every class like they do in college ?
do they have to buy a microscope for biology ? or maybe purchase a lab kit like they do at straighterline ?
wouldn't privatized schools make more money by cramming more students into a classroom ?
wouldn't their philosophy be "let's get 40 students in a classroom and have them all score B- and C+ instead of 20 students in a classroom and all score A+"
each student would get less individual attention but wouldn't the school's response be "as long as they passed, so what ?"
The privatized system much like we had in the 19th century is far more superior because it would allow for many smaller schools to be created without the need of government licensure. Classroom sizes were much smaller back then because one parent might educate 10 or less students. Plus costs are much cheaper than public school. Think of the massive amounts of property tax we send to the schools for a 12 year failed education. And you get stuck paying this tax an entire lifetime. There is tons of open source books and libraries too. A high school education in the 19th century was far superior to a college education today.
A completely privatized system would also allow for schools who specialize in fields for those students who have an interest in subjects that the one size fits all model can’t support.
There are many stay at home moms that would love to be able to enter into such a business that face current gov restrictions.

You have to eliminate the government regulation which is creating barriers for competition. The truth is there is a shortage of private institution in the education sector mostly blocked by gov regulators who are lobbied by the teachers unions.

Where those who want to run a small school out of their home have more control. If you have a kid who is disruptive—then little Johnny doesn’t come back. Those who learn will learn, those who don’t won’t ruin it for the rest of the class.
A fully privatized system will always be more efficient and cheaper. The government run system has been a horrendous experiment.

I like this idea, a lot, actually! We let anybody who wants to run a school run a school. Otherwise would be socialism, right? I am going to start a school and allow kids to watch soft-core porn all day. All I need are a few rooms, some DVD players, and a bunch of boxes of tissues. I will be raking in the dough.
I am concerned about the students who are too disruptive and get turned away from all the schools. I suppose they will have to roam the streets all day. We could, I suppose, set up special jails for them. They would primarily be non-violent, so we wouldn’t need lots of security. Of course, they could go home at night, so they would really only need to be open during the day. And, we would only need a few of these jails in the city, so we probably would have to set up a bus system to bring the kids to jail. We don’t want the kids to bother people on the city buses, so we should have separate buses for the kids. The buses should probably be brightly colored to easily advise passers by that they are carrying children/inmates. And, we can’t just let them watch soft-core porn all day (that’s what my school is for, after all). We should probably hire guards who have a background in child psychology and related subject matter, to allow them to better control the children/inmates. I suppose we could also let kids who don’t want to spend all day rubbing them out come to this specialized jail. Trouble is, we really will have to do something with the kids. Child labor laws make putting them to work virtually impossible. We could try to teach them skills, but videogamesrock, font of all knowledge and wisdom, says that doesn’t work! He speaks loudly with definite statements and zero supporting evidence, so, he must be right!
If you want to send your children to a soft core porn school that would be your choice.
Most parents won’t and therefore the soft core porn school would either need to change its business model or face going out of business.
Those parents who don’t want to have their children attend a soft core porn school would choose one of the many other options.
The solution of appeasement of disruptive students is a waste of education time for those who want to learn. So yes I’d rather have them be disruptive in the streets rather than in the classroom. It’s not my child’s fault that your kid sucks.
