Personal Finance is a wild exam because it covers all sorts of areas from insurance, to mortgages, to retirement, etc. I used a book entitled, "The Wall Street Journal Complete Personal Finance Guidebook." It was written by Jeff Opdyke. I had also taken the DSST Busines Math exam and that helped on certain questions.
DSST also has a prep book for their basic exams, personal finance being one fo those and you should definetly get that book. I do not remember my exact score for the exam, but I did get an "A".
