Probably not, I just offered it up as a possible solution/loophole. In most circumstances I could see your child wanting to be emancipated as a concern. However, the courts would probably sign off, because her exemplary academic achievements demonstrate ability and knowledge above her peers. Also, it seems like the daughter has enough head on her shoulders to not abuse the technicality of her parents not have absolute legal control over her. Plus, it has little affects on claiming them as an independent for tax purposes, or any other normal family relation documentation. Though another means would probably be better, if this is the only means, and the way they want to do it, I dont see it being a bad idea.
