I purchased expensive Adobe graphics software at the academic price (70-80% off) with just a signed and scanned Excelsior ID. In my case, after placing my order, I merely attached the scanned document along with a copy of my current unofficial transcript (which has student ID # and Excelsior info on it) and sent it to the verification email address they provided. There was nothing more needed and they were able to overnight the product with no delay.
