Study.com Wrote:Thanks so much for this feedback! We'll look into this and see if we can make that happen. We'd love more information from you about how you'd want this service to work as well. Are there any specific requests you have about a transcript service like this and how it would function?
Study.com, I'm thrilled to hear that this direct transcript may be an option through you! My main experience with doing this has been through SL, so I will use them as my example.
It's a very easy process to request a transcript through SL. Each time a course is finished a request can be made to have an official transcript sent to college/university of choice. They also have a button to check if you'd like to have an "unofficial" transcript emailed to yourself at the same time. It is also possible to wait and have multiple courses added to a transcript and sent to the end school. I'm not sure if they send them via secure email or if it is through the mail. This request can be made in addition to having the course(s) added to a student's ACE account/transcript. I usually do both. I prefer to have the SL transcript sent directly to TESU as it goes through more quickly.
This is the faq as an example of what study.com could do as well:

ACE Credit has evaluated and recommended our courses. More than 2,000 colleges and universities consider ACE CREDIT recommendations in determining the applicability to their course and degree programs. Our students also report that they've connected with more than 400 colleges outside of our partner network that have recognized StraighterLine courses. That said, if you plan to complete your degree at a non-partner college, we strongly recommend that you understand the school's credit-transfer process before purchasing a StraighterLine course to make sure you won't have any problems.
