Straighterline is the Nordstrom of E-learning - they are always down to help the customer. Since I took a decent amount of courses with Straighterline, they knew my voice and name well in CS. Listed below are my favorite experiences where they came through during a need I had:
Coupon would not apply to my account and Straighterline knocked it out for me.
Neighbor had a pipe leak during my exam - I stepped away to help and the time ran out. Emailed while at the house saying I was not going to make the time limit and the exam was reset by the time I got home.
Ordered the wrong course. Did this multiple times and Straighterline applied a credit for use on other courses.
Month ended (had no intention on paying for another month) - still needed to take the final and Straighterline extended at no charge for a couple of days.
The countless times I called and someone in CS gave encouragement or love on the progress is something that I look back on as their greatest service.
Used Nordstrom from the famous story of the man who attempted to return 'Tires' to Nordstrom and Customer Service accepted them.
Legendary Tire Story
As a 16-year-old Nordstrom sales associate in the late 1970s, Craig Trounce was a legend in the making. Thatâs when he was working in the retailerâs Fairbanks store, and an old miner walked in with a pair of dirty, worn tires. The man had purchased the tires several years earlier, and had been told that if they didnât work out for him, he could return them.
In 1975, Nordstrom had purchased local retailer Northern Commercial, which at the time sold tires. The man had a case to make, on a promise made in that very building, never mind that the space was now filled with pleated slacks and button-down Oxford shirts.
Trounceâs priority was to do right by the customer. He called a local tire dealer, came up with a fair value for the used tiresâ$25 for the pairâand paid the man out of the till. A legend was born.
