I personally would not take the Bio CLEP if it was only worth 3cr. It is a VERY broad test, covering a lot of material, and if you're not already familiar with it all, it will take a lot of studying. Not worth it to me, as a non-sciency person.

I would just take a course at college (they may have something you like better).
