The desire to do a good job, I think, is a better indicator of how well any employee will perform than a wall full of degrees.

For the most part, I feel that way as well. However, there have been several times I have "lost out" on promotions because of the degree/certs. I am also working on my confidence level as well, but besides that point, I feel the need to obtain a degree to boost my general education/business knowledge and learn more. The certifications I'm looking at is to hone my skill set, so I'll be more valuable in my current position and can help others when they're in need of assistance.
