Excelsior Changes to General Business Degree 7-1-2015

Goblue34 Wrote:This is such a false statement. Allowing testing out for credit does not mean a college is a diploma mill, it allows students with prior knowledge / good test taking skills to complete a degree. There are 1,000 ways to skin a cat, and there are 1,000 different college each being unique. I always find it hard to believe that Public state schools would be considered diploma mills.

by the way I choose COSC for completely my degree and didn't even consider Excelsior, the seemed kind of shady.

There are UPenn students who think Harvard is a diploma mill. There are Harvard College students who think the Extension School is a diploma mill. There are snobs everywhere.

I didn't take the comment as an attack, rather they were just poking fun at a previous member's expense.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
