Back in 2013 they said to go ahead and apply, but their application instructions are now very explicit on the need for 60 graded credits. I have decided it is best to meet that requirement before I apply since my undergraduate record is a bit chaotic. As most of you know, I am not the most consistent person. At the end of this semester, I will have 51 graded credits, so I am much closer to the 60 graded credits than I was in 2013. I know there are multiple schools where the graded credit thing is not an issue, but I have decided on Fort Hays because they have the degree program I want and they have a decent ranking for online programs. I am just not real sure how they would view nationally acreditted coursework when it comes to meeting the graded credit requirement.
I am enrolled in a web development course with Fort Hays for the summer, but I am trying to decide if I want to apply for the masters or knock out another 6 credits with KCTCS first. The cost isn't a big deal and I should be able to complete 6 credits at KCTCS in addition to the course I am taking at FHSU. It is easier to bounce these ideas off of the degree forum crowd than pepper the councelors at FHSU.
I think I will go ahead and send another inquiry to the graduate school and see what they say.
(Update)
I sent a formal inquiry to ask them if Penn Foster or Straighterline transcripts that show grades will count toward their graded credit requirement. I will post an update when I get a response. It is quite possible I am overthinking this. :willynilly:
I decided to assume my Penn Foster or Straighterline credits will count toward the 60 graded requirement and started the application process. I will sure to update the thread when I get a response.
