Yes. Social and Behavior Sciences (excluding politics I guess). Although not all behaviors are brought on from being mentally unstable due to psychological reasons from birth (defects.) Someone having an OD on drugs or a drug problem which leads to mental unstablness is one example. Although, I guess that might fall under Social Psychology.
As for Hollywood some are just straight out insane and weird for who knows what reasons. That's just no getting around. They don't call it "Hollyweird" for nothing.
