Wishing you guys the best!!! And I totally agree with the relief you're feeling about getting a diagnosis. Having a name at least tells you what you're up against (and that you're not crazy lol!)

The latter option is always a possibility in our house, lol! The past six months or so have been one of those periods everyone goes through periodically where we were questioning whose dog we kicked, how many mirrors we broke, if we accidentally offended God in some serious way, and so on. Medically, financially, emotionally, spiritually, and in every other way possible, we've been drained, beaten, and abused. (His medical issues were our biggest concern, but several other problems cropped up at the same time, most of which still need to be managed since we pushed them off until we at least knew what was going on with his health.) His work and mine have both been fantastic and supportive, but we both had to start getting brutally honest with friends and family that if one more person tried to be reassuring in saying, "God never puts more on you than you can handle," one or both of us would be incarcerated or committed.

But, everyone has these periods of trial eventually. I can say that it gives you an odd appreciation for days when things do not necessarily go right, but at least something doesn't go horribly wrong! It also puts things into perspective. I've mentioned I'm a planner at heart (and I still am), but forget 5-, 10-, 15-, 20-, 30-year plans - and yes, I have those, LOL. Forget making sure that every speck of dirt is picked up, that the grass must never look unkempt. Today is the most important day, and while those things do need to be taken care of, snuggling on the sofa for an entire day to laugh at a stream of B-movies, and digging up the unmowed grass in the back yard to make mud pies with the kiddo are at least as important. (And the more we do of that, the less grass there is to mow!)
