I know that Washington State Bar Association allows legal apprenticeships in lieu of law school, but I'd heard it was a five year commitment. Is your internship paid and are you considered a Lawyer In Training? I'm asking because I have considered going this route as a replacement for law school, but I don't know any attorneys in Washington that would be the mentor/employer.
