Needing some Guidance - dewisant - 05-01-2014 What do you want to do with your newly minted bachelors degree when you are done? An ABA law school perhaps? Needing some Guidance - dewisant - 05-01-2014 The only part-time ABA law school on this side of the Cascades is Seattle University. There, I didn't wait for an answer. Needing some Guidance - legalbound - 05-01-2014 I'm ok with whichever degree, I just need one, so I can begin an internship with a law firm. Were they from a regionally accredited college? Usually people pick a subject and then submit their current credits for an initial evaluation, usually around $85 plus transcripts fees. TESC has a good reputation as do remaining two of the "big three" Your choice will be based on if you need a GPA or just a degree. Are you satisfied with the GPA you had from 20 years ago then TESC will certainly work well for you. Testing out can at times be more difficult than taking a class, time management skills are a must. Which means I gotta get back to studying since I've got an exam on Monday morning Needing some Guidance - legalbound - 05-01-2014 My goal is to go into family law to help people that can't afford attorney's but deserve one! Working Pro-Bono, or a sliding scale. It's the kid's who get hurt the worst in family court! Needing some Guidance - legalbound - 05-01-2014 Yes they were from Lewis and Clark College in Portland Oregon. Thank you I am aware of the evaluation they provide, I thought I might be able to get a path without doing that. Needing some Guidance - dewisant - 05-01-2014 You have read: The Law School Bible: How Anyone Can Become a Lawyer...Without Ever Setting Foot in a Law School...Unless You Really Want to by Peter J. Loughlin, JD, LLM? I have, and I think you have, and if you haven't then you had better read it ASAP. Needing some Guidance - dewisant - 05-01-2014 BTW: 3/4 of my degree is made up of 25 tests or 90 credits...all of them CLEP, DSST, and ECE; the point being that 3/4 of my BA cost less than $3,000. It is cheap and quick to get way past 90 semester credits toward a degree. Needing some Guidance - dewisant - 05-01-2014 The Lawyer Apprenticeship Program in Washington State runs 48 weeks a year for 4 years. |
