It would probably be your fastest and cheapest option, and as many others have said, it is essentially a reading comprehension test, which is probably why IC has no flashcards for it
It would be an option if they already hadn't completed A&I Lit as per their sig. I think the Lit CLEPs they were referring to are American and English Lit. Those actually aren't that bad with the resources here, even though there's no flash cards. I was able to pass both of them using resources here and acquiring the For Idiots books (though I didn't think they helped me that much for content as much as the resources here). I took them about 3 years ago, so YMMV.
Edit: Looks like I got a 71 on English Lit and a 68 on Am. Lit using the posts and resources here at the time.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.
