I have been asked about my class ring choice a few times, so I thought I should update this thread. (I believe Excelsior has started offering more ring options since I ordered mine in 2010.)
I did order my ring from Dunham and it is beautiful!
If you need something special at Dunham, just ask now if it is possible. They were very accommodating.
I received excellent customer service. I was allowed to make 2 special requests. The first was to add 2 extra letters to the engraving, so it would have the whole word âExcelsiorâ. The second was to have block lettering on the outside engraving instead of script. The engraving I chose was âBS MATHâ (instead of a year) and âEXCELSIORâ on the outside with my initials on the inside.
For the ring that I wanted, this was the best price that I found while comparison shopping. It was also made very quickly. I received it a little over 3 weeks after it was ordered.
This is the ring I chose - model 55-2007 in fashion:

Warning - I picked silver (least expensive), which I think is sterling silver. From the beginning, I have had the problem that it bruises/scratches very easily, and I am not hard on my rings. A few other forum members were able to get their rings made (or remade) in White Palisil and have been very happy with that material. My ring was not offered in that metal, but I wish it was because that is what I would have chosen. I'm going to wear it and enjoy it, but do not get your ring made in sterling silver.
Also, I chose the purple stone, since it is Excelsior's color. I like it, but it is dark and I wish light showed through a little more.
Overall, I was very happy to have so many choices for designing my ring.
I hope this is helpful! A class ring is a really nice gift to yourself for your hard work in earning a degree!
