Well, personally, I wouldn't recommend cramming, but every person has different study habits. 
As far as the test, this test is very fact based. If you know the facts, then you should do pretty well. I didn't think it was worded funny, the questions were pretty straightforward. If you are a paying member to instantcert, the flashcards are great and I would HIGHLY recommend you read through the Specific Exam Feedback for suggestions. I haven't taken Business Ethics so I can't compare the difficulty of the Civil War test to the Business Ethics test.
