Question on Civil War and Reconstruction - Taking Tomorrow - Zakar - 03-05-2013

Hi all,

I recently took the Business Ethics and Society test last week. I studied a total of maybe 3-4 hours. I studied the study guide posted in the member's section and used Instacert to pass the test. I got a 444 out of 500 on the test. The test was very difficult and worded strangely. Having said that; I'm concerned about this next test tomorrow. I plan on studying all night for a total of about 12 hours of studying straight (I'm a good crammer). Can anyone let me know if this will be possible just like it was with the Business Ethics test?

TLDR:

I studied for only 3-4 hours for Business Ethics and Society and got a 444 out of 500.
I am taking the Civil War and Reconstruction test and plan on studying the same way for about 10-12 hours.
Is it equally easy to pass?

Thank!

I was surprised by the depth this one required. U have to know political parties, battles, and plenty of key figures. The test really encompasses ploitics from the 1850 election through Grants presidency and reconstruction. Like any test.....its easy if you know the subject Smile

Well, personally, I wouldn't recommend cramming, but every person has different study habits. Smile As far as the test, this test is very fact based. If you know the facts, then you should do pretty well. I didn't think it was worded funny, the questions were pretty straightforward. If you are a paying member to instantcert, the flashcards are great and I would HIGHLY recommend you read through the Specific Exam Feedback for suggestions. I haven't taken Business Ethics so I can't compare the difficulty of the Civil War test to the Business Ethics test.

Hope this helps! Good luck tomorrow!

Question on Civil War and Reconstruction - Taking Tomorrow - corpsole2 - 03-05-2013

I took Civil War and Reconstruction over a year ago. Since I knew the subject matter fairly well, I found it was easy. Still, I took the InstantCert flashcards to warm up my brain. I was pleased to find that the questions asked on the test were close to the topics IC covered. So if you just use the IC flashcards, you should be fine.

It is in depth, as most upper level courses are, so it requires more than a familiarity or introductory knowledge that you might get in a 100 or 200 level course. I don't remember much about some of the questions, but was pleased to get the official score of 71/80 for it.

If you prepare, you should do fine. Good luck to you on this fun test! :-)
