Very interesting post...I lived in Mexico years ago.. back when it was a bit safer and I was younger. I still go there several times a year for business but it's not nearly as safe as it used to be. (I'm sure the beaches are fine, but I go to Mexico City and Guadalajara) I do still miss my dentist in Guadalajara and loved the quality and price. El Salvador sounds like it might be a good option.
