Just finished this test after about a week of half-study (maybe an hour a day... maybe.) It depends on how literate you are about biology and/or the environment, but I didn't think it was that hard. Definitely wouldn't have wanted to take it cold, but I might have passed (I'm also an animal nerd who works in customer service at a major lawn and garden company... I might have a little advantage there).
Best resources:
Environment and Humanity DSST Study Guide - Free-Clep-Prep.com
http://www.free-clep-prep.com/support-fi...-notes.pdf (read this like 3 times and you could probably pass)
http://sparkcharts.sparknotes.com/gensci/envsci/
Environmental Science Vocabulary | Course-Notes.Org (just skim all of these and zero in on a concept that sounds important that you don't know)
5 Steps to a 5 on the AP Environmental Science exam by McGraw Hill:
Amazon.com: 5 Steps to a 5 AP Environmental Science, 2012-2013 Edition (5 Steps to a 5 on the Advanced Placement Examinations Series) (9780071751995): Linda Williams: Books
This was the first and only book that came in at the library in time for me to study it. This is a great book. This book and snazzlefrag's .pdf alone are enough to pass.
Now all the textbooks and guides that I reserved at the library are in. After the test. Being the nerd that I am... I'm checking them out and flipping through them
