Managing Large Anthology Texts (e.g. Norton's) - Split Them!
#1
Hi All...

I've been using various Norton's Anthology texts in my literature studies, and thought I'd pass along my trick for managing these 10 pound behemoths - of couse this is only for those planning on KEEPING their texts!Smile

I split mine into 4 manageable sections using an "exacto" knife and recovering the exposed sections with poster paper. I've been able to carry these smaller sections with me when I'm out and about, and it's made life with these giant doorstops a whole lot more practical.

Just be sure to open the book fully and work the exacto knife through the pages and (soft) cover, and be extra sure to only split the book at the end of a completed section. Measure the poster paper for proper cover size, then place some packing tape (I use Scotch Shipping tape) vertically down the spines of your new "books."

Hope this is of some help!Smile
