Typically once you pass the FE exam you have to then wait 4 years before you can take the PE exam, all states are different.
and technically you can take the FE exam anytime you feel you can pass it, again depends on the state.
Here is the PE info for Georgia.
Requirements for Licensure as a Professional Engineer
FOR EET, ABET and 7 years experience
OR simply having 8 years of engineering experience, passing the FE, then having 7 more years will let you take the PE
Excelsiors EET is ABET accredited, my USAF electronics credits were not recognized by Excelsior so I am stuck with TESC or remotely with Old Dominion, which is fairly military friendly.
Here in Virginia an EET and 4 years after FE qualifies to take PE.
