I'm So FRUSTRATED & Need YOUR Advice

A question for burbuja0512:

When you went to COSC, were you able to test out of everything? Does TESC have the same option?

My main criteria are:

1) Get majority of my credits accepted
2) Test out of everything
3) Graduate ASAP

Because I'm thinking your idea to apply to both makes a lot of sense. I'll apply to both and whoever gives me the most credit and faster chance to graduate, is the one I'll end up choosing.

PS: Not too much mentioning of Excelsior, should I apply to them as well or are TESC & COSC plenty?

:iagree: The reason I still hang out here after having graduated in May is that everyone here helped me soooooo much through my entire degree. I totally want to pass along the good karma.

About COSC, you can't test out of everything. You WILL be required to take both a Capstone and a Cornerstone test, so if you want to do 100% testing, you should look at TESC. COSC would likely only be an advantage if you have a math phobia. I met my requirement with the College Math CLEP, which is pretty simple as far as math goes and most high schoolers could probably pass it. COSC doesn't have statistics required either, but this may not be an issue.

The other potential COSC benefit (and this is a stretch) is that there are fewer credits required in the area of concentration than in a major at TESC. So, I think TESC is like 54 biz credits where COSC is 36. I don't think this should make a difference unless you dislike business lol and haven't accumulated many credits that apply to the major yet.

We haven't touched much on EC, but I know that their requirements are very similar to TESC's but they do require a Capstone. I believe that they are not quite as expensive as TESC but just a bit more than COSC. Actual dollar amount would vary for you personally. With any of the big 3, you'll still be paying a fraction of what other schools will cost.
