Anybody pass any ECE exams only studying with IC ?

I always supplemented my IC study with something for every single test that I took. Even if it was just a matter of looking up a topic on a card on Wikipedia. IC shows you a good idea of what you need to know to pass, but there generally isn't enough detail there to teach you the subject from scratch. Here's an example:

IC card says 1 + 1 = 2
This tells you that you'll need to know the math behind this equation. There may also be a pretty good explanation that will help some people learn it or serve as a refresher for those who've learned this years ago. However, it may not be enough if you have never done a problem like this. If you still don't understand after reading the IC card, you WILL need to supplement.


That being said, for most of my exams, I didn't pay for additional resources. The IC cards with the specific feedback forums were enough because IC showed me the concepts I needed to know to pass the test and the specific feedback forum would often list other free resources or suggestions.

For my ECE, I only used the IC cards, Specific Feedback PLUS the recommended text. I bought an older version of the book and spent maybe 10 bucks.. can't remember now.

So, I know I'm not exactly answering your question, but for most of us here, for most of the tests, you'll always want to have several resources, even if IC is the first place you go.
