What school are you going to? At TESC you can take most of your upper level History course through CLEP/DSST/ECE testing. You only need one class to get a GPA so practice your essays before that class and study history int he mean time.
There are plenty of places online that can help you learn how to write an essay, and TESC does offer a free tutoring sight that will review and help you improve your essays. Google for info on persuasive 5 paragtaph essays.
