Would she like a gift certificate for a package at a local spa? If she's the feminine type who would enjoy pampering, a massage, a facial, and a manicure or pedicure, perhaps this would be a unique birthday present.
My friend is about 15 years older than your friend, but we had a blast at a local salon/boutique two years ago for her 33rd birthday. She received a facial, full body massage, and lunch complete with champagne. I ended up receiving microdermabrasion, the full body massage, and lunch.
