I am using Mathway, but I really am trying to save $ so unless I can get Algebrator for free that one is out.
Any other links?

FINALLY. I breezed through Intermediate and Beginning Algebra in less than a day each. College Algebra took 40 hours 37 minutes! Because I could only work on it week days it took me a week.
When the last assesment said 70%, I almost shouted with joy.
I learned quite a bit though.
It is off to ACE.
Next Statistics. What links are you guys using to help with that? Mathway was great.

ALEKS is being awfully slow at updating my request, guess that's what happens when you submit to ACE right as the holiday weekend starts.

Do you think it's possible to do an entire major in Math through this program? If so that would be quite impressive. Do you think these are moreso lower level credits or upper-level?

Not possible to do a math major with aleks. They will give you college algebra, intermediate algebra and intro to statistics at tesc.
You can do calculus at straighter line.com for one and two I think. Then you will need calc three and a bunch of electives. The two algebras and stats make up your electives for lower level and then you need a bunch more three hundred level electives and linear algebra with calculus.
Tesc also has math and nat sci which is not a math degree but is close. Definitely use aleks to fill in some of the bulk but you will need more than just that.

My situation:
Basically I already have 9 Lower Level (2 calculus, 1 stats) and 6 Upper Level (Discrete Mathematics for Computer Scientists) math credits.
***all from real accredited institutions***
With ALEKS (Assuming things don't overlap, which I think they will with my STATS course) I can get another 18 Lower Level and 9 Upper Level Credits
For Math Majors:
Upper Level Credits Required: 18
Total Credits Required: 33
Upper Level Acquired: 9+6 = 15 (missing one half course, ideas?)
Lower Level Acquired: 18+6 = 24 (overkill, only 12 would be required, could be passed onto other requirements)
Am I right in this? Because of my situation, I could be really close to a Math Major?

I wish ALEKS had enough courses for a Math major, but it does not. According to this link -
ACE Credit Courses - Precalculus is the highest level ACE-approved course available. All of the math is lower-level and EC awards up to 9 credits below Calculus. Plus Stats can be added and is considered Upper-level for EC Liberal Arts students.
Edit to add: Here are some options for UL math credit -

Respectfully, "real accredited institution" is not a thing. Just a heads up, that can be a big deal around these parts. There is regional accreditation, and national accreditation. Your accredited institution must be "RA" in order for your courses to transfer into TESC.

No, you can't get 18 lower level or any upper level credits with ALEKS. Go back a few pages and look at the ALEKS list. Based on what you already have, you can complete the CLEP College Math (6) and the 4 other ALEKS maths 100 level (12 cr) plus anything you already have at a 300/400 level. You'll have to drop one of your maths into the gen ed requirement, leaving you a maximum possible 15 lower level for your major. Sadly, you can only use 2 classes (6 credits) at the 100 level, inside your major, meaning the remaining 9 credits are thrown back into your gen ed electives.
So, what you have after all of that is said and done:
1) a completed math requirement for your gen eds
2) some gen ed electives
3) 2 ea 100 level maths inside your major
4) X 300/400 level maths you transfer in with (I count 6 not 15?)
I think any ALEKS courses you take, besides statistics would be redundant in this major. I think you probably already have this without ALEKS[/COLOR]
For Math Majors:
Upper Level Credits Required: 18
Total Credits Required: 33
Upper Level Acquired: 9+6 = 15 (missing one half course, ideas?)
Lower Level Acquired: 18+6 = 24 (overkill, only 12 would be required, could be passed onto other requirements)

We haven't had a math major since I've been here, ever. I'd be interested in your progress and how you meet your requirements. If you feel up to it, you could apply to TESC and get an evaluation. For fun, you could also pay $20 to ALEKS and just rock out all the maths- then when you apply submit them too. See how they do a distribution, it would be interesting. Perhaps they'll do it differently than what I broke down above. In any event, if you do apply, your application is "good" for 6 months, so you wouldn't have to decide anytime soon.
