Have any of you changed your major after enrolling in TESC?...if so, how long did the process take?...I would like to change my major from Liberal Studies to Social Science but only if it's a quick process...I have an official evaluation for a BA in Liberal Studies already...if I enroll and choose Social Science instead, will I have to wait another four weeks for another evaluation?

The changes take place immediately. I've changed back and forth a few times.
***First print out a copy of your current evaluation. Hard copy or electronic. Once changes are made they cannot view the evaluation prior to the switch. If they need to make revisions because the system repositioned the courses incorrectly you just email over a copy and they will fix it. Whenever you make changes print a copy. I do and it has saved me from later aggravation.***
Call the advising expressline, they just go in and click a button. As soon as they exit your student record you can log back in (for some reason two people cannot view account at the same time) and view your academic evaluation. You will see the changes and how the courses shifted. You can call back in if anything went cockeyed which happens all the time so be prepared. The software sometimes drops courses and they go to the other section. This is why its good to make a copy before any changes are made.

Thanks again!!!...that's good to know...I'm still a little hesistant because I'm really trying to make the Jan 1st deadline to graduate in Mar and don't want to miss it because of different requirements...the academic advisor said I need 16 more credits to earn a BA in Social Sciences...I intend on testing out of my remaining classes just before they go on their holiday break for Christmas...but I don't know what areas I need to test out of for that major...plus I don't know if her evaluation included seven pending credits that I have...
I asked for an unofficial evaluation in SS and about a week later I asked the status of it...I got a reply indicating that it was complete and, "It will be mailed to you for your review since it is not available electronically."...(?)...I will not be able to check my mail right away since I'm underway so I emailed back asking if she would just let me know how many credits I need and what areas they need to be in...the response was, "Unfortunately, potential degree evaluations can only be mailed to the address on file. However, I can tell you that 106 credits have been applied to the BA in Social Sciences degree and you have 16 credits remaining to complete."...I don't understand why she will not email the information I asked for because I've received two separate unofficial evaluations by two different advisors....

The evaluations are in real time and do not include pending exams only the actual posted credits. What my understanding of the unofficial version is that they go in to your account, switch it to the new degree plan, print out a copy and do not save changes so it remains as is. They stamp the print out unofficial and mail you that hard copy. It should be just as easy to select all and dump a copy into an email but maybe they don't like to do this <shrugs> I have no idea.
There are a few templates for the BASS on the forums, just do a search. I can confirm you will need 18 credits 300 or 400 level, 9 credits 200 level, and 6 credits 100 level in the concentration area. Also you will need at minimum 12 credits and no more than 18 credits in any one area. There must be a minimum of three different areas. So you pick and choose from Social Science (SOS), History, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Archaeology, Anthropology, Admin of Justice, Political Science and it seems TESC also has the Homeland Security (HLS) courses slotted under the social science umbrella.
