I have a funny story......My younger brother was having a tough time completing a paper for his English comp class and paid about 90 bux to have someone on an online site write his paper. Well he paid the money upfront,of course, and when he received the paper two days later it appeared that a 12 year old from another country wrote it..LOL:nopity: now he had to write his own paper with less than 24 hours to spare and actually got an A- on it....has anyone had any similar experiences with online paper mills?

I hope that most people here are too honest to try something like that. Humanity often disappoints me, however :nopity:

Sounds like he got a first class introduction to Parkinson's Law. You should just tell him that you'll write all his papers from now on for $90.... and then give him his money back when he has less than 12 hours. His GPA will soar! :p
$10 of that $90 was probably paid to the person actually writing the paper. There's usually one or two people in the US who set up the business and advertise for it. The actual work is outsourced to the Philippines and India though the ME is starting to get more involved to. A lot of Iranian students are starting to offer their services, surprisingly enough. They have the knowledge to do the job many times; it's just their grasp of written English that makes the end results so funny.
If he doesn't like his English course, have him sign up for a CLEP instead

Oh well, maybe he will have better luck next time. Always a bit of trial and error finding good help. Probably would get better results going on Craigslist and finding a local person. And of course, not paying up front.

I certainly hope not. He oughta fail his class.

Boy, I hate writing papers. I don't mind the writing part it's getting it in perfect APA format that I hate!!!!! I used an APA writing program to help and still lost points for not being in proper APA format - go figure! But given my dislike for this task, I wouldn't stoop to having someone write it for me. A dissertation, now that might be a different story...just kidding!
