How to get academic letter of recommendation?

Has anyone gotten a LOR from a excelsior professor or distance class (for example Adams State College)?

One of the grad programs I'm looking at applying to and is actually a top pick for me, requires that one recommendation MUST be from a former teacher.

I have no problem with other LOR, just academic LOR. TIA

Simply ask. I have 2 lab science teachers willing to do so for me- I too need them for grad school.
I sent emails in advance of registration just to see if they ever considered such requests. While both said their would be some limitations on their ability to evaluate me as thoroughly as an on-campus student, but both agreed. My intention is to include a few extra very strong letters in my packet just in case these seem too weak.
