Masters

I'm doing a little scouting here - looking into information on respectable Masters Programs online - respectable meaning regionally accredited and preferably with some name recognition.

I think the most prestigious programme I've seen is from the University of London which is a top tier school. my opinion ofcourse is skewed due to my connection with the UK.

But I would recommend taking a good look at them. University of Florida has a good programme too, however, that's more than twice the cost of
U-London and lack of prestige as well. There are other well known programme avialable online such as the university of Maryland.

Anyway, hope my input ignite your neurons into action.

There're a ton out of great dl Masters programs out there, from both traditional type schools (B&M) and from schools like APUS... The question is 'A Masters program in *what*?'...
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.

Bachelor of Science in PsychoRabbitology degree
Master of Education with a specialty in Rabbit-specific destructive munitions (or eLearning & Technology, I forget which)
Doctor of Philosophy in Wile E. Leadership with an area of specialty in Acme Mind Expansion - 2017 Hopefully

I'm doing research - I have nothing particular in my sights. Basically the best value programs for the $, while maintaining something of a "name brand". I'm not interested in the Capellas or UoP's.

Thanks for the tip from London. I would consider U of FL a good school. Although I have the utmost respect for TESC and the like, I'm looking to see what better known options are out there.

Nobody can properly answer your question without knowing in which discipline you want to get your degree in.

Not having a direction is the first error you can make when shopping for a grad program. Not having a budget is the second.

Best Values include Western New Mexico University's Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (36 credits at around $170-180/credit if you take 6 or less credits a semester), schools which are instate for you that charge less than $300/credit for graduate level tuition, and APUS (APU/AMU) which has a ton of selection for DL degrees that are often 36-39 credits at $300/credit.

I'm not planning on a masters degree; i'm doing research out of curiosity, because I've loved learning about all the affordable ways to earn a Bachelors degree (which is more generic than a masters, no doubt). I was just wondering if anyone had found a "aha" program.

This got me started over a year ago.

Yeah, bachelors and masters are like comparing apples to power drills.

There are some masters programs that let you transfer in up to 15 credits (almost 1/2 the degree) and some places that can offer extremely cheap credit, but there's no equivilancy tests, like CLEP, PLA, or anything like that.
