What do you think would be the easier route? I have ENG 101 but i need ENG 102. Would you do straighter line ENG 102 or Clep College Comp. Wouldnt College Comp with essay satisfy the ENG 102. What are your thoughts?

I only had Eng Comp 1301 and needed Eng Comp 102 / 1302 for a TESC degree. I took the CLEP English Comp w/ Essay and received credit for Eng II. So to answer your question, I would just do the CLEP. It's faster, cheaper and probably easier.

I took the college composition CLEP, and it was pretty easy. I only used IC and the practice test from the Official CLEP study guide.

Horns, did you take College Composition "modular" or just College Composition?
I took College Composition (not modular) and I didn't find it that easy. The first part (multiple choice) was a joke, but the essays were challenging.

The test changed as of July 2010, and I'm curious about whether or not IC will still benefit me.

Take the CLEP. Straighterline English is dull, dull, dull. Plus, it's more work. I started with Straighterline and was so bored with it that I ended up giving up three lessons in and taking English Comp w/ Essay instead.
