Good luck! I actually enjoy aleks.:o Thank you!

My 15 year old is going to take this in the fall, but I'm not sure which one. Has anyone noticed that they have 2 full courses- the first says 2 semesters, but the second one only lists 3 classes and they call them "first quarter, second quarter, third quarter" which makes me wonder- where is 4th quarter?? Anyway, I'll have him take the CLEP at the end of the year.
I'm so glad to hear that he is going to try Chemistry! It will be nice that you just took the class and can help, if needed.
I was planning to do the same thing for Calculus - use ALEKS to learn and then take the CLEP or UExcel. I just saw that ALEKS actually says "Prep for Calculus", so now I don't think that idea will work.

Yeah, I also fell like I'm really learning a lot, I actually took calculus back in high school, but I forgot all of it and I got around 45% on my initial assessment in beginning algebra. I worked through it and I just got 71% the other day after about 13 hours of work. The system is really interactive, and seeing your pie fill up really gives you motivation.

I think I've studies too much Algebra this week. My brain is mushy. Beginning & Intermediate are done in two days. I really wanted to finish College Algebra today too, but I'm tired. With no internet access at home it'll have to wait until Monday.
I might take another assessment after a short break later today....

Where in this massive thread are the links to help with College Algebra? I've been searching but I think I am missing them.
I am using Mathway, but I really am trying to save $ so unless I can get Algebrator for free that one is out.
Any other links?
