I have looked on Excelsior's website and don't see a BA degree in Art. One of the reasons I chose TESC was because I have extensive experience in Art - I went to a two year art school (unfortunately unaccredited). Since TESC offers a degree in Art I chose that so I could get prior learning assessment credits. Plus, Art is what I want to teach...
If I transferred to EC would I have to get a liberal arts degree?

I was about to ask a similiar question, but instead I found this thread. I know must colleges in my area will accept a regionally accredited bachelors degree regradless of college. Of course, you must meet all others requirements. But, I was curious if anyone had problems getting an EC degree accepted.

Excelsior is a regionally accredited degree that should be accepted everywhere all the other colleges that are. I need my degree for the military and they accept it just fine.

Depending on the Masters program you enter, your work experience is as if not more important than any other facet of your student "resume."
If you are straight out of high school, and power through a degree in a year or two through Excelsior while bartending you might not find it particularly easy to get into a second tier program. On the other hand, if you're like a lot of us on these boards - 20 years in an industry and possibly even run your own business, or at least a unit of a business, the degree is simply one of the minimal requirements, and you shouldn't have too much of a problem.
I did my own checking prior to signing up with Excelsior, and the degree programs I was looking into at the time all would accept their program. That's probably the best advice I could give - check with the specific program you are interested in.
Second would be to talk to the admissions folks for that program about what else you could do to bolster your application - it's possible a particular line of study or even volunteer work in that field would be helpful.
Third and finally, if you know what program you want to enter, consider taking some of those classes as your requirements for the Masters. Excelsior allows you to have two classes (and I think more with approval) from Masters level coursework toward your bachelors. You might as well work on both with one class. I'm doing that to satisfy the written english component - Graduate Research and Writing - gives you three upper level credits and satisfies the Information Literacy requirement, plus it counts towards my Masters (which that is a pretty common requirement for).

My sister did tesc in one year. She clepped most of her courses and is going to SEton Hall this year for speach therapy. I have a good friend who is in a second tier law school from excellsior. I am at tesc and plan to go to law school. I am going to apply to many places and hope for the best. I have one other friend who did tesc, she got accepted to seton hall and waitlisted at columbia. 3 weeks before she was about to begin seton hall she got accepted at columbia and she is going there.
IT IS DEFINETLY POSSIBLE!!!!!!!

As soon as I finish the BS requirements I'm jumping into a GMAT program. On the business side a good score there, along with some experience, will go a long way to getting into a good program.
A few weeks ago I just finished reading that business schools are having to deal with a much younger enrollment. People hopping from one degree right into a masters program. I can't speak to the other disciplines but in business a little experience can go a long way. (Does anyone else remember their first encounter with a fax machine?) Having a degree and some work experience definately go a long way.

Regarding the comment "Will a degree from Excelsior allow you to walk right into an MA program at Harvard?"
The answer is Yes. Harvard's extension school is open to BA/BS holders...and if you get B's in 3 graduate level classes, you're admitted.

Note the part where they say 'Possess a regionally accredited bachelorâs degree'.
Seems like the big 3 are good enough for Harvard Masters too!
