What's the lowest proctor fee that you know of? (Besides being free for the military, I assume). Is there any tricks-of-the-trade out there in lowering the cost? If you take more than one test in a day, do you pay per test? Thanks in advance!

My proctor charged $20 per test. Multiple tests = multiple fees. Basically, you're paying them for their time. More tests means more time.

What state are you in? What test are you looking at? My local CC charges $40 per test which is the highest I know of. I travel a little further in the other direction to a CC in PA and I only pay $15 per test and I think it is a better maintained quieter testing sight.

I take my tests at our local U of P campus. The first test I took I asked them if they would charge me one fee if I took 2 tests at the same time. They agreed. My dad just graduated from there and my siblings and I all take tests there. They no longer charge a proctoring fee at all. In fact when I was testing today there was a new gal at the front desk who tried to charge me and the person in charge told her not to.
They are *so* nice there.
Boise State charges 25.00 per test (I had to take English Comp w/ Essay there)
My local library did not charge a proctoring fee for my TECEP.
I've been very blessed.

I take my tests at the University of Indianapolis School for Adult Learning. The registration/proctor fee is $12 (I don't know if that's per test or not). Military examinees have to pay the same amount. I think $12 is pretty cheap, so you can probably find something comparable in N.J.

For us, the $30 is per test, per person for the proctor fee. When both my boys went in last week, I had to write 4 checks: 2 to Collegeboard and 2 to the testing site.
