Need 30 credits (any) on a transcript. Cheapest/fastest way?
#1
Your Location: Canada
What kind of degree do you want?: None, just need 30 credits of anything
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: None
Budget: As cheap as possible
Dedicated time to study: Will have complete free time for 3 months to study (May, June, July). Willing to work very hard all day and have no life to complete this if needed.
Timeline: Need to complete the credits May-July, and have a transcript asap

Background: I need 30 extra credits of electives on top of my existing Bachelor's to be eligible for my US CPA license, asap. I'm Canadian. What would be the cheapest and fastest way to do this? Although a degree would be nice, I don't need one, just 30 credits of anything on a transcript from an accredited college.

Basically, my recommendation is to actually complete a degree by transferring your existing degree into the offering. UMPI BA Accounting or the BABA Accounting, finish in 1 session for $1700 USD flat...

Sorry, I think my initial post wasn't clear - I already have a completed Bachelor's in Accounting (120 credits), and now need 30 extra credits, but thank you for your quick response! I was looking further into it and found the WGU Macc or MBA. Would you recommend that?

Essentially, you're looking at graduate level credit vs undergraduate level... Yes, if you're looking at getting a degree, the WGU MAcc, MSML, MBA, are very good options at roughly $5K. You can also look a the MAOL at UMPI, you can probably finish and it'll cost just $2300/session, $4600 if you can complete it in two sessions. UMPI may be faster to complete and their MAOL competes against WGU MSML pretty fairly...

It depends on what U.S. state you try to get licensed in. Some of them will accept ACE credit on a college transcript, in which case you may be able to use TESU or some other school to put undergrad credit from Sophia and other providers on a transcript.

It will take some research to find enough courses that don't overlap with the credits you have, and to make sure the state you choose to get licensed in will accept them.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)
