Hello, I was on track to finish my WGU degree, but at this point I am enrolled and struggling due to the proctored exams and the math classes I have to keep taking. I asked to switch degree programs in hopes that they may rexamine my transfer credits (I hear this is a workaround) but I'm also considering just moving on completely. I can write papers all day everyday which is why I considered UMPI but, I would need to finish by May of 2025 and the earliest start date is March, but I may consider it if it's possible to finish in 2 months. SNHU doesn't really offer acceleration either since its 2 courses per term and if the max they allow is 90 credits, then I'd only be done by December of next year. What are my options here? there are a couple sophia classes that I passed with 75+ grades which I know COSC wouldn't accept. I did get the BOG from Pierpont with some of this, but I would imagine sending in that transcript would be credit laundering

You should apply to UMPI YourPace ASAP. The BOG AAS with your technical credits would qualify you to go for the BAS-MIS, apply for the BLS-MIS and send all your credits from all sources, including the BOG transcript (that is to confirm you indeed have the AAS). Do not wait to do this it takes time to evaluate, and the schools are about to go on winter break. And since you're a fan of writing already I suspect you will be able to complete in one term (others have done it, and you're motivated to do so!). Then once you apply to UMPI, go sign up for Sophia again you'll need Spanish I (or the French I), Bio I and the Lab, and a few others I believe (see https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quirements). Others can guide you on how you request to be moved from the BLS to BAS. UMPI will be the quickest and lowest cost option for you, and the BAS-MIS will give you a base of the IT you're looking for. Some may try to sway you into multiple minors, if you have time OK, but pick your one and focus on those courses first. Do not start any additional minor courses until you have everything you need completed for the minor (MIS) of your choice. And no, what you're doing here is not credit laundering, that is something quite different. Also, unlike WGU, you can transfer into UMPI after enrollment.

In addition to the info mentioned above, I suggest you create a spreadsheet using the WIKI degree plan template, link us to your Google or One drive with the file in a viewable (not editable) link. We can comment on any changes or recommendations to your classes, your best bet is the UMPI BAS with a minor of your choice, I would throw in the 3-4 classes that go into the MAOL as part of your residency classes.
One other thing to note, you've left some fields off from the addendum/template, such as your commitments and dedicated time to study, study habits, etc. These various variables actually are important in making a decision on which degree and institution may work for you better. At the time being, UMPI would be the best option if you have no commitments and many hours for homework and study...

I'm a little mixed up here, do I apply for BLS-MIS first and then switch? or do I go for the BAS-MIS immediately?

BLS-MIS first because you cannot apply directly to BAS-MIS for YourPace I believe. I am in the process of doing this currently myself.

That's correct, when you apply to the UMPI degree programs, the BAS isn't an option as it's not a YourPace program... (yet, they're in the process, most likely due to the number of people from DegreeForum asking to have a program change from the BLS to BAS after conferral of the BOG AAS and getting admitted to UMPI). All you can do at this point is apply, get that max transfer of credits and wait for an evaluation, you can then link us to that by making the file viewable (not editable) on your Google or One drive. This file is from your academic advisor or success coach, it's highlighted with yellow indicating what the remaining classes or requirements are...

I am still on the hunt to finish any degree by May of 2025 or earlier, and saw that UMPI's session doesn't start until March of 2025. I finished my application last week and am still waiting for acceptance while I am enrolled at WGU. UMPI still sounds like a good idea, but I do not want to be stuck doing nothing for 3 months and also did an application for UMASS Global just in case there was a possibility of finishing in 1 term anywhere else. My goal ultimately is to "tick a box" for my bachelor's and then transition to a Master's at UMPI. I know TESU and Excelsior are options as well, but I want to make sure that I will not be stuck in the same predicament that I am with WGU. I can deal with proctored exams to an extent, but WGU does not let you accelerate in any order you choose, which means sometimes you are stuck with a difficult class which can be even more difficult if you have test anxiety for several weeks while staring at several other classes that you are confident in passing. UMPI seems like a dream, and I would love to do the MAOL but the bachelor's starting in March seems like it would put a delay in the timeline I have set.
What kind of degree do you want?:
Any works! Preferably Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or BSBA IT Management but I'd settle for anything if it means I can transfer it into a masters.

You have to be accepted before you can be enrolled. Once you're accepted, you will need to work with your academic advisor to register for classes.

UMPI Bachelor's of Applied Science with a Management Information Systems Minor might be a good fit.
"UMPI still sounds like a good idea, but I do not want to be stuck doing nothing for 3 months"
To maximize transfer credits, you may want to take a couple extra courses on Sophia. You should create a spreadsheet to be sure, but I can see you would need at least one more science and language course to fulfill the UMPI general education requirements (UMPI biology is horrible). You can also do several Coursera courses to knock out several of the minor course requirements such as Google Data Analytics Certificate, IBM's Data Analysis and Visualization Foundations Specialization, and IBM's Data Analyst Professional Certificate. Again, please create a spreadsheet if you do go this route since you do need to complete at least 30 credits for residency.
