I'll probably end up giving it a shot since it is free. lol. I have friends with for-profit like capella and walden degrees and they're all employed in pretty high up health administration roles. They did mention that jobs did not really seem to care where they got thier degrees.

The government and healthcare do not care where your degree was earned. I've had several incompetent practitioners in the past four years, and I later found out that they earned their nursing degrees at Walden. That's not to say that all Walden graduates are incompetent. My sample size isn't big enough.

Healthcare is pretty populated with Walden/Capella/Phoenix grads. I think this has a lot to do with many nurses coming out of state ADN ASN programs to get into a career with a living wage. Hospitals are starting to be more selective and want nurses to have a BSN even though there's really nothing useful in an RN to BSN program if you're already a practicing RN. And the practice and scope of care doesn't change between ASN to BSN. Associates nursing programs are already ~90 credits. The other 30 are top up fluff.
Alternately, after a few years, many nurses get get burnt out and want to leave the floor/bedside and get into management or want to look into a practitioner program, but are told they have to complete a bachelor's, or for higher roles, a masters, and simply pick the fastest, easiest path to check the box.
Healthcare systems truly do not give one iota as long as the box is checked. Word gets around you can practically sleepwalk through a Capella degree pretty easy so people pick the path of least resistance, and I can't really blame them.
But Outside of healthcare, the negative stigma of online for profits can be a boondoggle.

Update: Got the green light to go for the MS-IT at University of Phoenix for it to be covered which I'll probably take my time on.
As for an MBA, Hellenic American is still my go too since the price point is super cheap lol

Actually, if you have freebies at UofPhoenix, I would do the MSIT first, then ask for the MBA afterwards skipping HAU altogether as UofP MBA has ACBSP, HAU doesn't... But main reason is, if you can get it free, why not that vs paying HAU 3K?

I wouldn't want it on my resume. And frankly, when I see it on someone else's resume, I question their judgement.

I thought the same thing, until I found out a few higher up co workers of mine in the Casino industry all have degrees from UoPx and seem to have solid higher jobs all funded by the casino. I also have other friends in health admins that got there masters from UoPx as well. They were all able to get $100k+ gigs. I feel like the networking between my state school and the uopx in vegas seem to work together and have the same jobs.

Freebies are good for getting transfer credit for degrees elsewhere, you don't need to have it on your resume, you can ladder that into something different, not everyone needs or wants the generic MBA, you can transfer to another program elsewhere for say, the Masters in Business Analytics or something that interests you later on... I would do the freebie for the experience, knowledge, and to fill any learning gaps or missing info that I wanted to review.
