I’ve read single masters get evaluated as bachelors or post graduate diploma, but what about double or MBA+? Has anyone had theirs evaluated?
I have a vague recollection that someone said theirs was evaluated separately and the total ECTS did not matter (60 vs 72) in the result of the evaluation.
What about Validential? Since they are more lenient, I would assume they would show it as double masters.
The double Master's is just 2 separate Master's degrees. It's not one degree with more credits or anything.
It depends on the FCE. Some evaluators will take ALL your education into account and choose one diploma to turn into a "higher qualification" while turning another of your diplomas into a "lower qualification (than it is actually worth)" in exchange, for example if you submit that you have a US Bachelor's and an ENEB Master's they will grade the ENEB one more favorably because you proved through your BA that you can actually do college level work regardless of where the MA is from. This happened to me with WES USA, I submitted a foreign fully accredited Associate's and Bachelor's, they judged my Associate's to be a non-degree but awarded full Bachelor's status to my BA. I read in reviews that if you do not submit another degree with a European Bachelor's, WES USA likes to judge it as less than a Bachelor's likely because it took 3 years to get instead of the American 4 - WES is not actually judging based on education quality.
Another style of evaluation is to judge each degree entirely separately without reference to anything else you submit. This seems to be the case with some of the evaluators on the ENEB Wiki where they award each ENEB degree the same status.
Complete: 1) Trade school - Hospitality, Bartending. 2) Swedish BA - Japanese. 3) ENEB MA - Hotel, Project Management, MBA. 4) JLPT N1, 120-hour TEFL, TISUS, substitute teacher license
In Progress: 1) WGU MA - Education for teacher licensure. 2) Mastercurssos MA - Child Development.

Thank you for the response, I had suspected as much that the double master or MBA+, even with UI1 did not have any advantage for NACES evaluators.
I ask because I purchased a couple of MBA+ masters the last time they were on sale and I’m hesitating on continuing with them given how ridiculous it would look to have multiple MBA+ “degrees”.
I asked academy@ and they said it was possible to convert them to single masters instead, which I would probably go ahead with.

First time poster here. I've read this entire thread for the most part and it has been very helpful. I registered for the ENEB MBA in 2021, but back then there wasn't anything good to say online and I just couldn't get myself to commit all that time and effort to something that, in my mind, was questionable at best. I'm glad that I found this forum. It has helped me go from sceptic to hopeful to actually buying the vouchers.
With the intro out of the way, has anyone received a Global Masters diploma (ENEB triple masters) from UI1 yet? If so, how many ECTS credits did they award?
I would like to eventually get it evaluated for equivalency with SAQA in South Africa but the minimum credits for a Masters is 180 (which is equivalent 90 ECTS credits). This would also depend on how SAQA evaluates the level of complexity of each component module. 180 masters level credits are needed in South Africa at credits are needed i.e. NQF level 9 credits on a 10 level framework, with 10 being doctoral studies. If any credits are deemed to have been earned at a lower level of complexity then I will be out of luck. I do still intend to try though.
Then does anyone know whether my first registration in 2021 will appear on my permanent record? I don't remember whether I officially dropped the program or whether I just stopped visiting the portal and forgot about it. It might have been the latter, so I assume this would have resulted in a fail or a "did not complete"? I don't think I even did a single paper back then. I can't access the portal now to check. It says my email address doesn't exist in the system. I submitted my qualifications for SAQA evaluation mid last year and I still have not received my outcome. Did you submit? Dear SlammX,
I wondered if you ever got right with SAQA please - I am now trying the process but it seems very tedious.
Would really appreciate some help with this or any guidance that you have to give please.

You also need to look up if South Africa has the requirement of a final project or thesis for it to be considered a degree. If yes, then ENEB won't be seen as a degree no matter how many credits the Global diploma is worth.

Next week they will offer a final project you can add on to the degrees.

South Africa will not evaluate ENEB as it is not an accredited institution. They will look at UI1, but only titulo oficial. SAQA does not recognise titulo propio, i.e. the ENEB/UI1 arrangement is not validated in South Africa.

For those of you who are having issues with recognition of ENEB or other propio degrees in your country, try getting a NACES evaluation here in the USA for a positive result and then apply to your home country’s foreign credential evaluator using the USA evaluator as leverage. I’m not sure if this has been proven to work but it is worth a shot.

The South African Qualifications Authority doesn't recognise evaluations from third parties. It does its own evaluations. Here's the full response that I received from SAQA:
"Dear [slammX]
Section 31(a) of the Policy and Criteria for Evaluating Foreign Qualifications within the South African NQF, as amended (March 2024) stipulates the requirements that a foreign awarding institution must meet for its qualifications to be recognised.
SAQA bases the advice below on information currently available to it.
Universidad Internacional Isabel I de Castilla is a recognised institution in Spain and the national qualifications which it is authorised to offer there will be recognised by SAQA provided they meet all the other verification criteria applied by SAQA. As SAQA does not pre-evaluate foreign qualifications, it is your responsibility to check whether the qualification you are interested in or have acquired falls within the formal national education and training system of Spain. The oversight body is the RUCT (https://www.educacion.gob.es/ruct/home).
We recommend that you access the link above, click on the dropdown menu next to Universidad, select the university mentioned above, click Consultar. On the next page, you can click on Ver Centros for a list of recognised centres that offer this university's official/ accredited qualifications, therefore, if the centre is not on this list, there it may be that although it is a centre for the university, it may be offering unrecognised / unaccredited qualifications.
Optionally, instead of clicking Ver Centros, you may click Ver Titulos for a list of all accredited qualifications (títulos oficiales) offered by this university, registered on the Registry of Universities, Centers and Degrees (Registro de Universidades,. Centros y Títulos - RUCT). If a qualification you intend studying for is not on this list, it means is not an accredited qualification.
It is important to note that most Spanish universities, offer both official (títulos oficiales) and non-official programmes / qualifications (títulos propio). SAQA only recognises títulos oficiales, provided all other verification requirements are met. You can also access the university's website to see if the qualification you intend studying for, is an accredited by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MICINN) or university's own programme (títulos propio).
Kind regards
Authentication Services
SAQA
The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Act 67 of 2008 mandates SAQA to provide a foreign qualifications evaluation and advisory service, which it does in accordance with the Policy and Criteria for Evaluating Foreign Qualifications within the South African NQF, as amended (March 2024). Section 31(a) of the Policy and Criteria stipulates the requirements that a foreign awarding institution must meet for its qualifications to be recognised."

Have any details about the Master's final project that will be vailable during next week's promotion been made available anywhere - is it applicable retroactively for an already completed program, and how will it work (deadlines, scope of work, etc.)?
