FHSU is RA. The StraighterLine courses will show up as credits from the partner school that you transfer them to.
Fred,
I'm not arguing with you bud, I'm just saying that the individual school decides whether they accept transfer credit and what that credit equates to on their degree programs. It would be nice if "RA" automatically means that 3 credits from RA School #1 fills the same requirements from RA School #2 but we all know that's not the case.
I'm on exam 3/5 using Straigherline, and it's a great service from what I've seen so far.

You are right that it is up to the policy of the school, just as Excelsior won't accept the English comp CLEP and other things. That has nothing to do with the institution.

I know you are not arguing with me, I am just trying to keep the discussion on track. Bringing up CLEP and FEMA credits clouds the discussion. We are talking about credits from a RA school transferring to another RA program.

Today my College Algebra course from Straighterline.com showed up on my FHSU transcript! Not bad, from course completion time to transcript and grade was a total of 13 days.

This sounds like a great deal! Does anyone know if the Community College of the Air Force will accept the College Algebra credits/transcripts from FHSU?

Hunger4God,
Did the transcript show a letter grade or %age for you or pass/fail?
13 days is very fast - are you quite skilled in math?
Thanks,
Sidney

Joel,
In reference to Straighterline's College Algebra course: There are five exams total. Each one is 20 questions, with four, multiple-choice answers. The tests are untimed, BUT you cannot go back to previous questions and you have to complete the exam in one sitting once it's been opened. The first four exams cover all of the content of the course. The fifth exam is like a final -- but with the same format. I used my own college algebra textbook. I didn't buy the one they recommended.
I breezed through all five exams in just shy of 3 days with a 'B.' I would not say it was easy though. You do need to know your algebra and it's not just the basic stuff either.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info.
Does anyone know if this will meet Excelsior's math requirement for their business degree?
